
Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist Daniel Kölsch is a Billboard Top 10 Artist with J-W Jones (Sonic Departures) and is currently active as a performer in various big bands, bands, theatrical productions and as a studio musician on saxophones (tenor, alto, soprano), clarinets (Bb, A, bass) and flute.
Daniel was born and raised in Germany where he studied clarinet & saxophone with some of the leading instrumentalists and performers in the country. Following his move to Canada, he has studied jazz improvisation with Jim Odgren and Gary Burton through Berklee’s College of Music (Online) and with GRAMMY winning Tenor Saxophonist Bob Reynolds.
Daniel is a very versatile musician and has performed in a broad range of orchestras, bands and ensembles all over Europe. He has successfully participated in many solo, ensemble and band competitions as a performer and has frequently featured as a soloist throughout his musical career. In addition, Daniel is a certified conductor for symphonic wind orchestra.
