It was quite a pleasure, honor and simply an incredible experience to share a stage with the world famous Herald Trumpets (link to the Herald Trumpets), the official fanfare ensemble for the President of the United States! Its one thing to play the Festive Overture with an awesome group of like minded and fine musicians as part of a great wind orchestra. But it is definitely something else once you add the combined force of 14 trumpets and 3 drummers from the US Army Herald Trumpets. Its one of those ‘goosebumps moments’ for any musician. It was a particular thrill to be led and conducted by their conductor Captain Randy Bartel.
